Today we're taking a look at the CIPA 3 3/4 inch Rotating Spot Mirror. This is a great mirror for use on your larger mirrored vehicles, so like your trucks. This is going to be a good option for putting on an already existing towing mirror to fill in any of the gaps that might exist there. The larger mirrored vehicles, I think, would certainly be what this is geared towards. If you're putting it on smaller mirrors, you're going to lose a lot of that factory mirror. So you just want to keep that in mind. Mounts on the backside here, and then this interior part actually swivels to allow us to rotate this 360 degrees.
Your field of view is going to expand the opposite of the thickest part, so whichever direction that you want to see a widened field of view, you want that thicker part to be opposite of it. Then that's going to open that up with the convex mirror shape. Now you will want to clean your mirror's surface with some rubbing alcohol, just to make sure you get good adhesion. Pull the cover off and apply it to your mirror. Now once installed, you'll see the adjustability that's offered with our mirror here. It has individual clicks that are going to hold it in position.
So we never have to worry about it moving on its own, but this is really going to allow us to . If we we're backing up and we really wanted to see our tire, we could set it in this position, that's going to come down more. As we're towing and we want to see where our trailer is, we can move that out. The options are really unlimited to allow you to customize your view and to be able to see exactly where you want to see, whatever the situation might be necessary. Let's head out on the road and we'll see what kind of difference this mirror can really make as we travel down the highway. I bought these mirrors because there were blind spots with my GM towing mirrors. These solved the problem.
