Speaker 1: Today we're gonna take a look at the replacement lock cylinder for the bolt toolbox latch. This one codes to the Ford key. This part is designed to work with the Ford vehicles, and you can use this replacement lock cylinder to replace a broken bolt cylinder in your toolbox latch, or you can just change it out to fit a different edition key. The lock uses your vehicle's ignition key so you'll always have the right key with you, and the way you code it is you just insert your ignition key into the bolt cylinder, turn the key once, and then that lock is permanently coded to your key. This does use a six plate tumbler side car, which prevents picking or bumping of the lock. It is a weather proof automotive quality construction, has a stainless steel lock shutter to keep out any dirt or moisture from the cylinder, and again it locks automatically when the key is removed.
One note I do wanna mention is the bolt locks will permanently code to only one vehicle. They cannot be recoded or re-keyed. But that should do it for the review on the replacement lock cylinder for the bolt toolbox latch that codes to a Ford key.

I bought a used ARE commercial topper and the previous owner did not have the key to the locks. I went online and found locks that looked similiar to the ones on the topper. This is perfect! Exactly what my customer was looking for.
I recently purchased 5 locks for my ARE truck cap. I was skeptical at first that the pins would all line up with a new key. To my amazement, they all did the first time. Removing and installing the new locks were easy. I only used a small screw driver, and a pair of pliers.

I have an ARE utility cap that I purchased used without keys. I replaced the old locks with these and they fit perfectly. No modification needed. Put my key in and turned it and now all the locks are keyed to my truck!
The knot they send me to mount the lock was to small for it

I wanted to check to see if you were able to mount the lock cylinder. I was not sure what you meant that the knot was too small.
the lock cylinders i was looking for was key number 99 i was sent 83 is it possible that I could get 4 lock cylinders 99?

This lock cylinder is intended as a replacement for part # BL7022698 that works with Ford model keys.
I never leave reviews but I have enjoyed using one key for all 3 locks on my work topper so much I had to! These locks are worth every penny and have performed flawlessly!
I have been trying to find out where to get this lock, I tried to get it from the Ford dealership and they didn’t seem to have any idea what I was talking about, so I went to the Ford corporate website, they said they had never sold anything like this, but, on your site, it was plainly listed as a Ford lock with bezel. So, if I’m ever in the need for this article again, I’ll be coming right back to you guys. You’re the best !

They were so close to being perfect but they were a little shorter and I had to grind some of the threads off so my end piece would go on far enough.but they work and they are keyed to my truck.

Well, its been a year since I installed my Bolt lock replacement cylinders and now I can be completely honest about the quality and workmanship. I WILL NEVER not recommend these top quality locks! Have not had 1 negative issue with daily use on our commercial vehicle. GREAT PRODUCT.
