These trailer brake assemblies act as part of your trailer's hydraulic braking system. A hydraulic trailer brake actuator is required for these brakes to function.
Thoroughly Tested for Safety
These brake assemblies meet the requirements for certification by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). The CSA creates standards, which when complied with ensure a safe and quality product. These brake assemblies underwent extensive testing to measure stopping distances when braking. These brakes have also been tested by QAI for braking performance in a complete automotive setup and under real-world conditions to provide the most realistic scenario for the everyday driver.
Automotive-Grade Friction Material
Each shoe on these brake assemblies is lined with automotive-grade friction material for improved stopping performance and longevity. The friction material is fully bonded onto the surface of the brake shoe. This lining is custom-molded for a perfect fit. The edges are tapered to ensure long-lasting performance. This taper, along with the circular grinding that the lining undergoes, helps to prevent cracking and crumbling. This durability helps to prevent mechanical lockup, which can occur when brake shoes are excessively worn or broken.
The friction material is also SAE-N certified, which means that it is an environmentally safe product that complies with California and Washington regulations regarding the composition of brake pads. As a result, this material not only provides high-performance braking that can endure the test of time, but it is also environmentally friendly and safe for use throughout the United States and Canada.

Great bolt up for all components. In and out of ramp on the Oregon coast for three weeks and have rust on springs and connecting components. Backing plates are good but hardware seems a little week with rust problems.

When I looked on the website, this item was listed only for 14, 14 1/2, and 15 inch wheels.
I talked to order desk, no help. I have 13 inch wheels. I took a chance and ordered. These fit my 10 x 2 1/4 drums perfectly. Nice anti-corrosive finish. My previous brakes installed with 7/16-14 bolts, these came with 7/16-20 pressed in studs. It would have been nice to include nuts and lock washers to ease installation.

Worst service ever, ruined vacation! Order was short two backing plate assembly’s. The ones I got had no nuts or lock washers. No indication that you would have to provide your own fasteners, I would have paid extra had I known, that would save a trip to hardware store. Or just simply state that you don’t provide fasteners for installation and give size. My shortages could have been overnighted? Last time I ever use etrailer. I am blogging on every platform available about my experience.

I am giving the parts a 4 star rating because they didn't come with the 7/16-20 nuts needed to install them mine were rotted so I couldn't reuse them and a 7/16-20 is a really hard size to find. Otherwise the assembly fits fine and looks good,and good quality. Now the shipping was a diffent story I would give the shipping 3 stars their kitting process needs improvement. I ordered them April 28th they didn't kit them and ship them until may 11th even with them listed as in stock some kitting improvment is needed. So make sure you are not in a hurry to receive this kitted item. Allow about a month for delivery.

Perfect fit. Easy to install. Only minor issue was the bleeder valve rubber cover was stuck on and ripped when removing so had to use one from old brake assemblies.

Missing half the adjuster for the left brake. I used etrailer instead of [online vendor] because I thought I would get a better product and the correct parts without issues. Not the case.

I needed new brakes for my boat trailer. After searching several suppliers for quality and pricing I found etrailer to have both qualities. Prompt service is much appreciated. Brakes came nicely packaged to prevent transit damage. Product looks to be be well made but I'm putting them on the shelf. Brakes aren't required so I converted the trailer back to brakeless. With 4 boat ramps within 10 miles brakes aren't worth the hassle. I did use the spindle seal set (15123 Inner Bearing & 1.980t Or 1.938 Bb) which fit perfect.

Missing the hole for water rinse tubing, missing the 4 - 7/16 x20 fine locking nuts, studs are to short to add a lock washer, one of two brake cylinders had a poorly tapped out brake line hole, had to buy a tap to salvage it. Not a bargain, cheap China junk, should have purchased locally thru trailer dealer offering American made. Amazes that etrailer does not at least advise you of such, usually pleased w/ etrailer, not so much now.

Installation and adjustment was straight forward, mounting bolts lined up perfectly as did brake lines. Brass bleed screws sealed well, and I now have functional brakes on my boat trailer again.
