Today we're taking a quick look at a specialty product for you 2016 Toyota Tacoma owners who already have a Thule TracRac Track One Ladder Rack, whether you had it from another truck that you have switched over or maybe you've got the TracRac Ladder Rack secondhand and you're wanting to mount it to your Tacoma. It's also going to work if you want to add a crossover style toolbox without having to drill into your truck bed rails to mount it.This is the Thule Toyota Tacoma Mount Kit with toolbox mounts and this is going to allow you to mount your ladder rack and your toolbox. We've got the specially designed clamps that are going to work with the hardware from your Thule TracRac Track One and your Tacoma's rails. The kit is going to include the specialty designed rack mounting clamps as well as your toolbox mounts and all the hardware that you need minus the hardware that comes with the TracRac Track One system. The included toolbox mounts provide the attachment points for your crossover style toolbox without needing to drill into your truck bed rails.
So it's going to give you a little bit more security there. You're not going to have to drill in to make permanent holes in your Tacoma.The way this works, I've got a picture for you here, so you can see that clamp in the foreground. That is part of this system. The two black clamps in the back are a different kit, but they basically work the same way as the kit that we have here. They're just black rather than the gray.
But you can see how the clamps slide into our railing there on our Tacoma. It's going to give us a solid connection point and then our toolbox mounts give us the holes at the top there that we can mount our toolbox to.So not a kit for everyone, very specific to you 2016 Toyota Tacoma owners who are wanting to add that rack system and toolbox. Question: this kit only came with two mounts that have holes for mounting the toolbox to. Shouldn't there be four with holes? Please help.
