Definitely helps the rack from creaking a lot more. Much more sturdy. Great improvement.
These should be standard equipment included with every truck rack!
There should be either a hardware mounting kit included with each bracket or hardware, (bolts and nuts) kits available separately. There are hardware kits available, however with way too many pieces.
I bought these to eliminate the inherent looseness at the top of the truck racks.
My rack didn't have these braces originally so I retrofit them by clamping them to my rack, drilling holes to bolt them on. It was easy to do and the result is a much more stable, rigid rack. I've ordered several items from etrailer and have always been satisfied. I trust them and highly recommend them.
