Use this kit to mount your SuperSprings leaf spring helper kit if your factory leaf springs are located above your axle and your spring pack is more than 2-3/4" thick.

For vehicles with factory leaf springs that set above the axle, this mounting kit ensures that SuperSprings operate silently when the vehicle isn't loaded. The kit includes 5-1/4 inch long U-bolts for applications where the spring pack measures greater than 2-3/4" high.
When factory springs set below the axle, the axle itself serves as a fulcrum for the helper leaf springs. However, for vehicles that have OEM springs that set above the axle, the 2-inch brackets in the mounting kit act as fulcrum points on the underside of the SuperSprings. Furthermore, the shackles at the ends of the helper springs hold them in place and pivot as the load is transferred to the SuperSprings. Because there is minimal preload tension in the installed SuperSprings, you get a quieter ride.
Bolt the mounting brackets to the factory spring packs using the extended U-bolts, cross plates, washers and nuts included in the kit. When installed correctly, the Nylok self-locking nuts won't loosen. After you install the mounting brackets, tighten the U-bolt nuts while the rear of the vehicle is still off the ground. After the springs are installed, lower the vehicle to the ground and retighten the U-bolt nuts.
