Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Replacement Pop Up Drain Assembly. This unit replaces the pop up drain assembly for a bathroom sink. The body and most of the components are made from a plastic construction. It's like a dark gray in color. Then everything that would be visible has a really nice perma-finishing to it. It is made from a metal construction.Just to go over the components since this is a replacement part, I do want to mention that when it comes to installing this, really what you need to do is pat attention to how you remove your currently installed drain assembly because basically this is gonna install in those steps.

You just reverse them.So to go over the components that's included in this kit, we'll start with this right here. This is your lift rod. This is what's at the back of the faucet. This allows you to pull up and down which controls the actual plunger at the opening here. That lift rod connects to this piece here with the thumb screw.

So, lift rod, you got the thumb screw. This piece is called the link. Then you have the clip back here. You have the rod nut and then you have the ball rod. All of that connects into the body of the unit.

So you have the body, the tail piece, you do get a new drain nut, plastic washer, seal and then you have the flange with the stopper.So once everything's connected and you lift this up, you can see how the stopper goes down. Then when you push that piece back down, it'll control this link to lift up on the stopper. It's a really nice easy design, smooth operation and pretty simple installation. Again, just pay attention to how you remove the old assembly and install this one the same way, just reversing the steps. That's gonna do it for today's look at the replacement Pop Up Drain Assembly..
