Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this 40 inch long extension cable for the OptiMate AC to DC battery chargers and the solar charging systems. Now, this is an extension cable, provides an extra 40 inches to charge your RV, marine, or powersport vehicle battery using the OptiMate battery chargers of the solar charging system. Now, I did want pop up an insert just to show you there's one of the battery chargers by OptiMate that this would plug into. Now, this uses the SAE connectors on each end.

It includes this inline rubber seal for the OptiMate heavy duty SAE connector. It has a nice weatherproof seal, it's a weatherproof rubber seal for use in harsh environments. And you can see what you'll do is just push that on and click it in place, and then when you make your connection it provides a nice seal around the connection. The connector itself does stay flexible in low temperatures. Temperature rating on this is a negative 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

Total length on the extension is 40 inches. The wire size they use in this is an 18 gauge size wire and the amperage on this is five amps. But that should do it for the review on this 40 inch long extension cable for the OptiMate AC to DC battery chargers and solar charging systems..
