Today we're going to take a look at the replacement Dacromet mounting bracket for the Kodiak disc brake caliper on a 7200-pound axle. Now, this is a heavy-duty ductile iron construction. This bracket uses a Dacromet coating finish which will provide corrosion resistance for fresh water and limited saltwater use. They do use the embossed bolt holes here to provide extra thread content for your caliper guide bolts to screw into. It gives you a nice, tight, secure connection between the bracket and the caliper itself. It does use a side support to ensure that the load is carried by the bracket, not just the bolts.

They do use the stiffeners to help reduce vibration when you brake, and it is a universal design. It will work for either left-hand or right-hand side brake assemblies. Again, the application, this is for calipers that are on disc brakes with over-the-hub rotors or the one-piece hub-and-rotor assemblies. The axle it fits on is a 7200-pound rated axle. The rotor diameter it's used with is a 13-inch-diameter rotor.
