Video Transcript for Deka Battery Boxes DW05311-1 Review

Today, we're going to be taking a look at part number DW05311. This is the Deka clamp type battery terminal. This clamp type black epoxy coated battery terminal can be used to convert standard posts to marine or other special uses. The coating is going to aid in polarity identification and corrosion resistance. This is going to fit stud type batteries with 5/16 of an inch negative terminals. The wing nut here is going to be a brass plated wing nut and this right here is going to require a 12 millimeter socket or socket wrench in order to get that tightened all the way down. You got the opening right here. This is going to go around your existing post.

You place that over, tighten this down, again using a 12 millimeter socket or socket wrench. You're going to place your new connection on top of here and then simply tighten everything down with that included brass wing nut. A few measurements I want to give you real quick. Just measuring the overall length of the unit from edge to edge, it looks like that's going to give us a measurement of about 2 2/8 of an inch. From the center of where the existing terminal is going to be to the center of the post on this terminal is going to measure about 7/8 of an inch. That's going to do it for today's review of part number DW05311. This is the Deka clamp type battery terminal.

  • Battery Terminal Recommendation with Stud Diameter of 5/16 inch
We have the Battery Terminal # DW05311-1 designed for use with a 5/16 inch diameter stud like you mentioned. We only have it in the color black though so you'd want to designate it somehow as either the positive or negative when you use it.

  • What is Needed to Install Interior LED Lights in an Enclosed Trailer
Installing the Optronics LED RV Interior Light, # RVILL34, should be a fairly easy project. The two wires on the light are 12 gauge. The white wires can be grounded to the trailer body, the black wires are your power wires. Using # 12-1-1 you can connect to the black wires and run this wiring to where you are going to install your battery. Using a 12 gauge wire nut, found at any hardware store, connect all the light wires and the power wire from the battery together or you could use...

  • Installing Trailer Brake Controller, 4-Pole Wiring Harness, and ETBC7 on 2013 Santa Fe Sport
You are exactly correct that installing a brake controller on your 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport will require you to make 3 connections to the vehicle's battery. It is not recommended to combine the power wires for any of these components. I spoke with one of our trailer wiring harness manufacturers and he confirmed that combining power wires is not recommended. If they are combined, the likelihood of one component interfering with the functions of another is much greater. The wiring harness,...
