Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Cargo Buckle Ladder Rack Straps for one inch to two inch Round or Square Bar Ladder Rack Tubing. And as you can see, it is for a quantity of two straps. Now, these are heavy duty ratchet straps. that'll let you easily secure the cargo to your ladder rack.
Basically, to operate it, you can see you can pull this release lever right here, move your handle all the way into the full up position, let it go, and that holds it so you can pull out as much strap as you need. Move the handle and wrap the strap around the ladder. Once you get it around the ladder, what you'll do is go ahead and hook this. You can see there's a hole at the bottom of the bracket here. Go ahead and hook the double J hook right to the bottom of that, and then pull this and put it into the ratchet position.
And then go ahead and ratchet this, and you'll ratchet the strap tight until it's around your ladder. And then after it's tight, pull it again, put it into the very bottom position, and it locks it into that position to hold your ladder in place. Very easy to operate. Again, we mentioned it has a push button release right here. It is a self retracting design, so it allows for easy, rapid loading and unloading.
Basically, the unused strap portion will retract into the housing, allows minimal ratcheting and convenient storage. And then to unhook it, all you have to do is unhook it from here. Once it's unhooked, then all you have to do is you can pull the release lever if you want, and you can see that that'll self-ratchet it back into place just like that, and now you're ready to hook up again. Very simple to operate. You can see on the handle itself, it is a sure grip rubber coated handle.
Makes it very easy to grip and control with just one hand. Even if you have a glove on, you can operate it. Offers dual safety locks to ensure that the ratchet arm stays in the open or the closed position. And it is a nice, durable construction. Offers long lasting performance. Has a corrosion resistant steel body you can see here. The polyester webbing on the strap is a seatbelt quality webbing. Uses a sturdy plastic housing and a stainless steel spring. And this part is crash tested to ensure that your cargo stays in place. Now, this will permanently mount to your ladder rack with the included brackets you can see that are attached to the straps, and all the hardware you need for installation. It is designed to fit one inch, one and a half inch, or two inch round or square tubing. It is for a quantity of two ladder rack straps. The strap dimension itself, if we release it, you can see is a two inch wide. Total length on the strap, if you pull it all the way out, is six feet in length. Maximum load strength on this strap is 2000 pounds. The safe working load limit is what you want to go by, that's a third of that, is 667 pounds. And when we talk about the working load limit, basically tie down straps must be chosen according to that safe working load limit. So the weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of straps that are being used. So for example, if you're using straps that have a working load limit of 500 pounds each, and you're tying down a load that weighs a thousand pounds, that's gonna tell you need at least two straps to safely secure that load. And it is usually always recommended that you use straps in pairs. But that's gonna do it for the review on the CargoBuckle Ladder Rack Straps for one inch to two inch Round or Square Bar Ladder Rack Tubing.
