I checked with Curt and they said the Curt Rack Receiver item # C87NR will not block the liftgate function. Typically what happens is the range is lost right around the 2" receiver but based on where the receiver extends out from within your trim I would not expect there to be any issues. The Curt Rack Receiver item # C87NR is confirmed to fit your 2024 BMW iX 50i. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your BMW with included hardware. I have linked the installation instructions...
