Install your Curt electric trailer brake controller quickly and easily with this custom wiring adapter. Simply plug one end of the adapter into your brake controller and then plug the other end into the built-in port beneath your vehicle's dash.
Features:
To install your Curt electric brake controller, you need to connect the wiring of the controller to your vehicle. Certain auto manufacturers offer pre-wired options, typically known as tow packages, wherein wiring is run for you from the dash to the trailer connector on the back of your vehicle. When this is done, a port is installed at your dash so that you can easily plug in a brake controller.
This adapter plugs into the port on your vehicle's built-in brake control wiring harness. The harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, and it is taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal.
No hardwiring is required to install this adapter. After you plug it into the factory port, you simply plug the other end of the adapter directly into your electric trailer brake controller. Because there are no wires to connect, installation is not permanent. You can unplug and remove your brake controller at any time to transfer it to another vehicle or securely stow it away.

Today we're going to take a look at the Curt Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers with Dual Plug-In number C51422. This wiring adapter fits the Buick Enclave, the GMC Acadia, and the Saturn Outlook. This adapter allows for a quick, simple installation of your electric trailer brake controller. Thanks to the ends here no cutting or splicing is required. The custom connector, this one right here, it fits into the built-in port beneath the dash of your vehicle with this one fitting into the back of your electric brake controller. We'll show you how that works in just a moment.
This adapter is compatible with time-delayed and proportional brake controllers from Curt. Just a reminder, the brake controller must have the built-in plug for the adapter to connect. It will not work on controllers with pigtail wiring harnesses. This adapter is two-feet long with 12-gauge wires and has the protective covering to help prevent damage. This item does feature a limited one-year warranty.
Bringing in our Curt Brake Controller. This is the Reflex Controller and as I said earlier, this end will go in the port beneath your vehicle's dash. This end will plug right in there like that. I have a 2015 Traverse with V92 Factory tow package. All I had to do was plug this controller into the vehicle harness with the supplied plug and wala, everything worked perfect. Amy placed my order and she was very helpful in choosing what controller I wanted. Good Job Amy!

Worked as described, harness is a little on short side so your limited as to were you can mount brake controller
This controller came ready to use out of the box, Watched a YouTube video on the installation just to be sure and installed it myself in about 1/2 hour [I work slow} We used it this weekend and it worked flawlessly, seems like it set itself up and just worked great

It work good for me but I only used it once but I hope its working well for the next guy because Ive gotten rid of that vehicle

No issues with the product they are working great. Same as the day I installed them. Took a little time dialing the strength and how quick the brakes come on but overall very happy.
