AJ: What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're checking out this rubber Outrigger pad from Buyers Products. Now it's two inches thick and this thing is really heavy duty. So it's meant for giving your bigger, heavy duty or travel trailers, RVs, backhoes. A bigger footprint when you go to set the landing gear down. We've got just a stabilizer jack on it.

So there's not a lot of weight coming down on it because you're not going to put a bunch of weight on your stabilizer jack, but just showing you how it makes that bigger footprint give you steadier ground.The one we're using today is 18 x 18. There's also a bigger one that goes 24 x 24. They're both going to be two inches thick. So they're going to both provide that extra padding to help keep the concrete safe and give you that bigger footprint. It also has this nice texture on the top.

You can see it's catching my hand as I try and push on it. So that's going to help whatever foot's on there, stay on there no matter what.I went ahead and raised up our stabilizer jack, just so we can pull it out and talk about it a little bit more. This thing's way heavier than all the other ones I've worked with. So you notice that solid rubber like I was talking about and it's made for heavy duty instances. That's no joke.

I can't bend it or move it at all. I'll drop it on the ground, maybe you can hear some of the weight. That's solid. The handle is just as solid too. I can't bend it too much.

So I have faith it's going to stay there and not break off on us. It's on there pretty good. I can move it a little bit, but it doesn't show any signs of tearing or anything like that.Not only does it increase the footprint, but it also helps with whatever terrain you're on. Let's say you set up your campsite the night before and it was dry. Well, it rains overnight, so whatever heavy equipment you have might sink a little bit in the ground and you don't want to have to adjust that the next day. You can throw this down there. This isn't going to sink. It's got that weight more spread out. So the whole thing's not going to sink or move or shift on you.So I came out to some gravel just to show you what I was talking about. The bigger footprint's going to matter, especially when you've got uneven ground or even ground that can be moved around. You can see if the foot of your equipment is here. It's digging in there. It's pushing that rock around. You get some unevenness that you don't want.So I'm going to take the Outrigger pad, just drop it in place and show you. Now there's not shifting around. If this was the foot of some heavy equipment or your rig, you can put all that weight down there. It's not going to shift anything around because of all of it's spread out. All that weight is spread out now, on this pad, keeping it nice and steady. I mentioned the grip before, but I just wanted to show you. Better than using my hand, I'm trying to get it to slide across the rocks. You can see I'm the one doing the sliding. It's not going anywhere. And when you're done, just pick it up by the handle. That's got some gravel dust on there, but you can spray it off of the hose. It's not going to hurt this at all. It's made out of rubber. So you easily just spray it off. Wipe it down. You're good.It also doesn't take up that much space so you can just throw it in your rig, pile them up on top of each other. It does come in a quantity of one. So if you want to pick up multiples, you'll have to buy those separately. I think that does it for our look at this Outrigger pad from Buyers. Hope this helped.
