Today we're taking a look at the Buckle and Strap Conversion Kit for Tonneau Covers.Now this Buckle and Strap Conversion Kit is for the BAKFlip truck bed tonneau covers. It fits the BAKFlip F1, G2, HD, FiberMax, VP, Endura, CS and CS-F1 tonneau covers. It upgrades the tonneau covers that are manufactured prior to April of 2016. It replaces the D-rings with buckles and straps, which help easily secure your cover when it's in the open position.This kit includes four total buckles. So you get two topside buckles, buckle ends, two underside buckle bases, two straps with buckles. You get the D-shaped mounting brackets, made from a durable steel with protective finishing so you don't have to worry about rust or corrosion.
It comes with the mounting hardware, as well as the mounting pads. So everything you need to make the conversion, to make the upgrade is included.Again, when that tonneau cover is in the fully folded up position but not yet propped up against the cab of the vehicle, this allows you to take the strap, place it into a buckle and it's going to secure your tonneau cover in that fully folded up position.That's going to do it for today's look at the Buckle and Strap Conversion Kit for BAKFlip Truck Bed Tonneau Covers.

Needed a replacement strap for my BAKFlip Tonneau Cover as the original cover came with anchor straps that were short and caused undo pressure on the clip when I wanted to secure the cover in open position. Etrailer had the straps I needed, got them to me quickly and now my cover works like a charm. I like working with companies that care about their customers.
Purchased a used BAK Flip Tonneau Cover and needed to replace some buckles and straps that were broken. etrailer came up in my search and they had exactly what I needed. This kit in fact will exactly replace the straps on a FORD branded tonneau cover for a 2018 6.6 bed truck.

I only needed the clips and straps, this was for my 2019 at4 hard cover, clips for perfect. Will put other pieces to the side Incase I get other broken pieces.. shipping was fast and I received tracking when the parts shipped
The kit seems good, and installed fairly easily, but all the self tapping screws supplied were the same length (different from the photo) so the screws for the storage buckle were too short.

As always etrailer delivered great service, pricing and product. I used these straps as an addition to the straps on my soft flip tonneau cover. They provide an adjustable tension to hold down folded cover tighter when 5 th. wheel is be pulled.

I have bought several items from etrailer since this purchase and always had good experience.
The parts worked great. Fit the way they should. The cover on the other hand. The cover is nice, but rain runs in on all 4 corners. Almost get just as much water in if you didn't have the cover on.
Fit almost perfectly. Actually, just used them again this morning. Works like it should.
My 2019 Silverado LT was purchased with a Bed Cover. The cover is a tri-fold and when opened, secured using the same securing straps with quick disconnect clips.
The first time opening the cover, I failed to secure one of the clips as directed in the operating instruction. My mistake broke one of the clips. I am pleased to say the replacement strap kit is available at etrailer.com. It came quick and my worry for finding this part is over. I am completely satisfied with etrailer having the items available each time I've had a need to something needed. The price and service makes the purchase a pleasure. I recommend reviewing the complete list of items which is offered. Customer Service is excellent. Thanks for having the item I needed. I feel certain that etrailer will be my first place to shop for future needs.

The Kit is nice and is very easy to install. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The only issue I had with the install is that I received self tapping screws that were all the size for the anchor for the latch strap. They would be the shorter 4 shown above I did not get what look like 4 longer self tapping screws for the stowage latch receiver. It's really no problem you don't really need it. Also I would assume I will be able to find some longer self tapping screws at the hardware store later and finish the install, just to finish it correctly. Would have been an easy 5 if not for that.

Pros: The plastic clips are molding perfectly to fit.
The nylon straps are also well made/ good quality.
Cons: The 4 screws for the folded panel are too short.
This set only works for holding the cover folded up completely. Need a solution for holding any section open.
I had to find the instructions on-line. None provided.
Just what I needed to complete my lost connections for Revolver X2 Hard Roll-up Truck Bed Cover.
At the onset, this kit looked like it would be better than the original. Disappointingly, after one year of usage, the buckle retaining clip(s) are wearing out similar to the originals. Currently, I am able to intermix the original male and female clips with the replacements so I may be able to extend the buckle assemblies for an estimated additional year, which would be somewhat better than the originals.
I tried to order from Offroads in Odessa Tx I finally got tired of waiting after a month went by . I placed my order etrailer and got my supplies with in a week. Great people to deal with and great accessories. Thanks

The straps are still performing great and I am confident in their performance of holding the cover in place when driving at normal speeds on the highway. Companies that care and are customer oriented are rare these days and etrailer is definitely one of them.
