Hello, neighbors. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the B & W Custom Mounting Brackets for your Patriot Fifth Wheel above-bed base rails. Now, folks, this is a custom kit, so make sure you're checking our fit guide here at etrailer.com. Top center of the homepage, enter your vehicle information where it asks you for your year, make and model, bed length, cab size, those kind of things, to make sure you're getting the right parts for your specific need and your specific fit. Also, keep in mind that the video could be outdated if it's a newer year than what you see.
Again, check the fit guide to make sure you're getting the right parts. Now, folks, this is gonna give you the whole custom installation kit as far as the brackets, all the hardware you see here to mount to the frame underneath the pickup truck bed, and then provide an attachment point for your fifth wheel rails. Now those rails are sold separately. I'll throw an image up of what the whole sit, kit, rather, looks like with those rails, keep in mind there'll be all the hardware that you don't see there, as well. Now, again, this today is just strictly the brackets and the hardware.
We do sell those base rails separately. Those would sit in the bed of your truck, and that's a part number BWRVR3210, sold separately. Now I zoomed in here, I just wanna show you the finish. Everything's a hard, heavy duty. It's been powder coated steel with a very nice finish.
It's gonna resist corrosion, that kind of stuff. Here's one example of one of the brackets. You can see that nice, shiny reflective finish on there. Very impressed with everything B & W does. They are made here in America.
Everything has a nice, amazing lifetime warranty on everything and the no-drill kit here is a very, very nice option when you're installing. It's gonna drastically reduce the installation time and avoid the obstacles that are on your truck frame. So, again, all the hardware here, you probably can't see all of it in the shop, but I want to zoom in to kind of show you the different size, give you a reference point, maybe, of some of these different block spacers, all those kind of things, the big U bolts. From the start,the folks at etrailer were very courteous and helpful. I called many times during the decision making process and everyone was always right there to help. When I finally decided to purchase the B&W 18K Patriot w/slider Bailey was there to help with the order. She explained the free freight shipping and it was a done deal. It arrived 1 day earlier than stated, as soon as I opened the cartons it was in fact the good ol' American made quality I was accustomed to growing up. I proceeded to install on the B&W rails I purchased and installed locally on my 2022 F250 Lariat/ Tremor.I had a small hick- up with the install and etrailer gave me B&W's # as they like to handle issues themselves. Stephanie at B&W was just as courteous. Overall a very pleasant experience. The Patriot was basically plug and play. I then connected my 2021 Grand Design 303RLS Reflection and rolled down yhe road. What a smooth and quiet ride, loved it! I would definitely recommend etrailer and their products. Thank you all that helped.

So far this has been a great hitch. Takes up a lot less space than the massive auto slider hitch that I had previously, and have had no problem with any sharp turns so far. It is also much easier to handle by myself taking it out of the truck. The only thing I’ve had some problems with is getting the handle lock pin out once I’m ready to disconnect. To solve, I’ve started wedging the flat part of my crowbar under the head of the pin and tapping it with a rubber mallet from underneath.

So far so good. Hitch appears to be good quality. It was easy to install after installing the mounting kit. I haven't used it yet so I can't comment on how it handles when pulling a camper.

Love this hitch, very solid! Pretty light weight, easy to get in and out when I need to use the full truck bed. Easy height adjustment to get my 5th wheel riding level when towing.

This hitch is great! Works flawlessly and is easy to install. Directions for mounting hardware sucks . I I’m on of those who like to just hold it up and see how it works. I recommend reading the crappy instructions and then hold the brackets up. Front bar directions good rear bar is bad .

This hitch is amazing. I replaced an older Reese hitch. With my old hitch there was constant shucking and could feel the trailer pushing the truck while stopping. There is no more shucking and you can “barely tell” there’s a trailer behind me anymore. The coupling and uncoupling with the cam action lever is extremely simple!

I just got it installed looking forward to connecting the trailer. But, the trailer is in the shop! I spent a lot time evaluating hitches and decided on the B&W Patriot 18K. I would like to better packing for shipping, the finish on the hitch got damaged.

Tech assistance with questions and ordering process was great. I will use etrailer again and will recommend them to others.
Unit is solid and well built, just as advertised. Assembly and installation was straightforward but prepare for lifting help as the base unit is quite heavy.
This is a replacement upgrade and I can't wait for weather to get better and go camping.

This is an excellent hitch, easy install on existing mounting rails! Etrailer had the best price by far and provided free shipping! I would highly recommend this company, the only issue I had was with UPS freight, who sat on my shipment for two full weeks before delivering it.

Great hitch in my 2015 Ram 2500 Short Bed. I had to contact B&W due to a concern with tightening the mounting bolts. The threads in the holes are painted, B&W said to run a tap through the threads. Also I was missing a few bolts on previously installed mounting kit. B&W sent me the whole bolt kit overnight for free. Awesome American company proudly supporting their products. I highly recommend their products. Also etrailer sent this hitch to me in a timely manner at a great price. I would use etrailer again. Thank you!

This is my first time using a fifth wheel hitch so I don’t have anything to compare it to but other people recommend it to me I haven’t had any issues with this well built hitch and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

The hitch performed as advertised. It was easy to install, fitting my current rails perfectly. It is heavy and requires a minimum of two young strong people to install it. I was very pleased with eTrailer.

I did my research on this hitch and was convinced it was the one I wanted yet I still felt the need to get some input from the pros, 2 phone calls (one to E-trailer and one to B&W) and I came away with peace of mind that the B&W was the right one for me. Best of all they did not try to up sell me to the 22k hitch two rv dealers tried to tell me I would need to safely pull the 16,500 gvwr 5th wheel I was in the process of buying. The hitch was reasonably priced, arrived in a timely manner in good condition and installation was straight forward. Bottom line I couldn’t be happier with my B&W hitch but most of all my decision to buy it from etrailer

I’ve had 2 Reese hitches before this b&w and this puts them to shame I absolutely love the ease of hooking and unhooking and it is totally quiet it fit my rail system perfectly

We received the hitch and brackets packaged very well. The installation went well and pretty straight forward.
We did not have our 5th wheel to set the height but took a lucky guess at 18". We picked the RV up and couldn't be happier with this hitch. Absolutely no chucking, very smooth ride. We have an uneven slope to back down to get to our RV pad and were concerned about that. With the swivel on this hitch, backed with no problem. We wouldn't settle for any other hitch if we have to ever buy another one.
The RV sales and service people were very impressed with this hitch and the way it is set up with the frame brackets.

A little heavy for one person to install, i use a block and chain. quite and secure. smooth engage/disengagement to fifth wheel. definetly recommend

The correct mounting brackets for your 2018 Ram 3500 are the # BWRVR2605 if you have the B&W rails and the # CU96FR if you have the Curt rails.
