Hi everyone, Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at Adarac accessory bars for your aluminum series or pro series ladder racks. This is gonna give you two bars that extend front to back from the main sections of the ladder rack and allow you to attach different types of accessories like a rooftop tent. Let's check 'em out. Now, these accessory bars come in a number of different lengths for different truck beds, so be sure to check 'em out and find the right one for you. The set that we have on our five foot bed Tacoma here is not necessarily going to be the same fit for a six foot bed ranger or a six and a half foot F-150, so just make sure you find the right one to pair up with your ladder rack.

But this is going to give you a great way to attach more than likely a tent because most accessories are designed to be mounted on crossbars that run perpendicular to your vehicle. These will run parallel to your vehicle front to back, and while most tents will open up to the side of your vehicle, on a truck, you have the option to mount it to something like this and you can open it up towards the tailgate. It could be a unique way to set up your campsite, but these could be that attachment point while still leaving the main crossbars on your ladder rack for longer items like kayaks or canoes or maybe lumber or ladders, these bars are gonna be the exact same style as the crossbars on your ladder rack, having the same weather strip up top, which if you peel back, allows you to channel mount some accessories. And the one thing that's gonna be different is the weight capacity. This is going to be able to support 250 pounds across the pair, so slightly lower rating than the ladder rack.

Just keep that in mind as we're loading things up. Now the way this attaches is found underneath where we've got this reinforcement plate and these blocks up in our channel, the plate will channel mount to your ladder rack and channel mount to the accessory bar, giving us a really strong hold where this isn't going to be shifting around, but if we wanted to loosen it up, we could slide them in and out towards each other to adjust our crossbar spread. Basically giving us a range from our uprights all the way in together. Something to know is that you will lose the adjustment you get with your ladder rack because those accessory bars sit right between the crossbars you no longer can adjust the crossbar spread on the ladder rack. But if you know you're building out a camping rig on your truck and you're putting a tent up here, that's okay.

You can adjust the spread on the accessory bars to mount that tent, and then everything else is fine. If you want to keep the widespread for the ladder rack, this will let you do that. The big thing to know is just that you get the right length for your truck because if you got a six plus foot bed and you get a set of the shorter bars, you're not gonna be able to fully extend the ladder rack. So finding the right one for your truck is really important, but they all install the same way and give you the same capabilities. But that'll do it for our look at the line of accessory bars from Adarac.
