It really brings out the look of your Stromberg Carlson 4000 Tailgate. I have never been one to stand on my tailgate. I always use a step ladder so this will last me a lifetime.

I originally purchased this tailgate to put on when I tow my Fifth Wheel trailer, but I like it and have left it on the pickup. I did order the part to cover the V opening in the tailgated so things I haul are more secure.
I have not yet installed this, because it almost seems like it would be too much work to keep removing the hardware in order to use the tailgate for my 5th wheel...then reattaching it afterwards.
It looks good on the 5th wheel tailgate. I don't haul a 5th wheel trailer. I put the insert on so it would look more like a regular tailgate.
Fits into the tailgate ok but screwing down defeats the use of the tailgate. I plan on installing a U channel around the tailgate so that I can just drop it in place. Then put two or three snap in rivets to keep it in place. Making it easy to take in and out.
Easy to install by following the instructions. I replaced the mounting screws with thumb screws so I do not need a screwdriver to remove it when hooking and unhooking from the trailer.
Early delivery; fits. Only minus is it installed with 12 bolts. A piano hinge, 2 barrel bolts and minor drilling modified it to work better (I need to not have to remove 12 bolts every time I hook and drop; sometimes every day.). Looks great; secures bed.
Very nice add to the tail gate part. Easy to put on. I like the fact it covers the area that would be left open with just the 5th wheel gate.
Love the tailgate. On my black f350 it looks like a factory tailgate.

Looks and fits well. I slotted the screw holes so I will not have to remove all the screws to remove and install. Quick install and remove with the slots installed. Fills the gap and looks good.
