OEM Style Trailer Hitch for 2011 Ford Explorer
Question:
I am looking for a trailer hitch for a fifth generation Explorer that will mount behindinch the bumper like the OEM hitch does. I understand I will have to change the configuration of the bumper itself with the appropriate panels from Ford, but I want the hitch at the OEM installed height and completely covered when not in use like the OEM hitch.

Expert Reply:
The hitches we offer for your Explorer, the Curt Class III, part # C13386 and the Draw-Tite # 76034 both have the receiver tube sitting below the rear bumper fascia as shown in the photos I provided for you. We don't offer an OEM style hitch for your Explorer. You would need to see a Ford dealer about that.
