Hitch and Cargo Carrier Recommendation for a 2014 Infiniti Q60
Question:
I am thinking of buying this hitch to install on my 2014 infinity q60 coupe and using it to add a maxtow aluminum basket to add needed cargo space, however the hitch only has a 1-1/4inch receiver and the basket is a 2inch can i safely add an adapter to this hitch receiver to take the 2inch receiver and is this a safe option for adding cargo space? thanks.

Any time you use a hitch adapter like the part # HTAD you end up cutting the capacity of the hitch in half. A Class I hitch has a pretty low capacity like the part # C11493 which has a 150 lb capacity, so when you cut that in half you don't have much capacity left for carrier and cargo.
Instead you would be better of getting a cargo carrier that wouldn't require an adapter like the Reese Carrier part # 63155 and an compatible light kit # 20174 if your cargo blocks your vehicle lights.
