Is Drawbar, Hitch Pin, and Clip Needed to Use a Trailer Hitch to Carry Bikes on a 2013 Buick Encore
Question:
Whats the drawbar, pin and clip, and will I need these for using this hitch receiver with a rack for towing a bike? If I will need them for this application, you have them in stock and whats the cost? I have a 2013 Buick Encore and the dealership will install this hitch receiver.

The drawbar (also known as a ball mount or stinger) fits into the trailer hitch receiver and gets fitted with a ball. This would be used to tow a trailer. If you never plan on using the 2013 Buick Encore for towing then you will not need a ball mount or ball.
Most hitch accessories like bike racks come with a hitch pin or thread hitch bolt so a pin may not be needed either. A regular hitch pin, like # PC2, is held into place with the included clip which is similar to a cotter pin. You will need a stabilizer strap # 18050 with this Curt hitch when using it in non-towing situations like a bike rack or a cargo carrier.
It sounds like all you need is the hitch and the strap, and you will be ready to go! If you need a bike rack recommendation, I will be happy to make a few for you if you can tell me the number and styles of bikes you want to carry. For example 2 bikes, 1 men's, one woman's with step-through frame, or a kid's 20 inch bike.
