Parts Needed to Add Electric Brakes to a Boat Trailer
Question:
I have a Mako boat trailer that came with my 2019 Mako ProSkiff 17. VIN7J51BCH15KB001314 and the NATM sticker on the front of the trailer has a number B18 347369. They are 13 wheels. I want to install electric brakes. what parts do I need?

Dan, to install a set of electric brakes like the Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes # 23-26-27 on your boat trailer you're just going to need the brakes themselves, the new hubs # 84546UC3-EZ, a new wiring kit (which also includes a 7-way) to control the brakes # HS381-9000, and a breakaway kit # 20099.
You're also going to need some 12 AWG wire # 12-1-1 as well as some heat shrink connectors # DW05745-5 to make all of the electrical connections.
