How Many Mounting Holes Does Hitch for 2000 Nissan Xterra Use
Question:
The hitch for 2000 Nissan Xterra says fits but my Xterra does not have 3 holes per side but only 2. At end where the 3rd hole should be at rear close to the rear bumper is a one and quarter inch diameter hole that had been stamped out when made. Should I attach the hitch using only four bolts? Would that be safe?

Is it possible that the third hole isn't visible on your 2000 Nissan Xterra right now but it's there? We don't have a different hitch that uses a different mounting setup though so I would be surprised if you didn't have the three holes.
