Hitch Cargo Carrier Solution with More Rise in Shank
Question:
I have added a hitch to my 2023 Rav4 Le. I want the cargo carrier to ride higher without lowering the tongue capacity. Seems like you guys suggest the D210. However from answered questions, I cannot determine if the tongue capacity is lowered or not using the D210. Do you still suggest the D210 for raising the cargo carrier? Thank you.

When used as a hitch extender or in your case a high/low adapter the Curt # D210 does cut the capacity of the hitch it is installed in by 50 percent so that wouldn't be the way to go. Only possible solution would be a different cargo carrier that has more rise to it's shank.
If you are looking for a traditional kind of cargo carrier then I recommend going with the Reese Cargo Carrier # 63153 which has a shank rise of 2-1/2 inches.
The cargo carrier that currently has the highest rise in the shank is the Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier # M2205 which has a shank rise of 5-1/2 inches.
