Wiring Adapter Needed for Installing Tekonsha P3 Brkae Controller on 2010 Ram 1500
Question:
I recently sold my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 and replaced it with a 2010 model. I've heard that the 2010 model uses a different plug-in under the dash for a brake controller. Is this true, or will the harness I used to install my Tekonsha P3 in the old truck still work in the 2010? I'm confused!

We can straighten that out for you.
For the 2010 model year, Dodge did indeed change the brake controller connector under the dash. The # 3020-P wiring harness that your old truck used won't work on your new one. For the 2010, you'll need the # 3021-P wiring harness.
The connector that the harness will plug into is located under the dash between the steering column and the emergency brake pedal, as shown in the photo I've provided for you.
