Recommended Trailer Hitch and Motorcycle Carrier for a 2016 Jayco Jay Feather
Question:
I have a 2016 Jayco Jay Feather-7, 20RL travel trailer. I want to install a receiver hitch for my motorcycle carrier to carry my dirt bike sideways on the back of the trailer. Bike is 250 - 300 pounds. Do you have a hitch that will do this job safely?

Expert Reply:
For your 2016 Jayco Jay Feather, I recommend going with the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13701.
This trailer hitch will fit frames that are 18" to 51" wide so as long as your trailer falls within that range you're good. Also, this hitch has a GTW of 5,000 lbs and plenty of tongue weight capacity at 500 lbs, so more than enough for your motorcycle.
As for a motorcycle carrier, you're going to want the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches # UF48-979033. This carrier has a 500 lb capacity, an included ramp to load your bike, and has a total length of 77".
