What is the Difference Between the etrailer and Curt Hitches for a 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid?
Question:
Is the Curt trailer hitch for a 2023 Hyundai Tuscon the same one for the Hybrid version of that car? Also, what’s the difference between the Curt brand and the trailer brand trailer hitch?

Both the Curt item # C94WR and the etrailer Hitch item # e38KR are confirmed to fit the Hybrid model of the 2023 Hyundai Tucson. These hitches are manufactured by the same vendor and the only difference is the finish. I tend to prefer the etrailer item # e38KR because of the matte finish. It blends in better beneath the trim and is less obvious than the glossy finish of the Curt item # C94WR.
If you're not worried about the finish then I would choose the most affordable option. I have linked installation videos for both hitches below.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # CU94FR if you have the tow package or item # 119250KIT if you do not and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
I also recommend using the No-Drill Mount Bracket item # 18136 and the item # C42CR to secure the 4-way connector to your hitch. This will put it in an easy to reach spot and prevent the risk of it falling onto the road.
