Excellent quality hitch. Prompt delivery. Excellent customer service by everyone at Etrailers. Exactly as described on their site and great instructions. Also ordered a bike rack from them. Very responsive to all my questions.

This hitch works great and have used it many times through this year. Still looks good.

by:

I just installed this on our new Hyundai Tucson PHEV. The installation was super easy. I had never installed a hitch before and I did not have any trouble and the whole process was easily under an hour. I have not used it yet, but it looks great.

by:

Service was great part fit great as with other reviews. The only potential issue is the packaging and part of the bike hitch protrudes through the box. Fortunately, no damage.

2023 Kia Sportage

Quality hitch that's super easy to install. Fit my 2023 Kia Sportage PHEV as advertised. The Hyundai Tucson installation video was exactly the same as the Kia. Bolts lined right up. Didn't need to drop the muffler, just a little pivoting to angle that side of the hitch in there. Helps to have a second set of hands. Those pesky plastic "nuts" were a pain though. They didn't spin like the installation video. I just muscled them off and they clipped back in place fine. I cut the under panel to allow it's re-installation. Cut off the notches so it lays flat above the hitch cross bar. Felt like it serves an important debris deterrent purpose. Pretty easy with an oscillating saw. Waiting on my cargo basket to try this thing out on it's maiden beach trip in a few weeks!

I had my 2023 Tucson serviced at my Stevens Point Hyundai dealer. Service writer told me there still was no hitch available for my car. Salesman said, "No way!" and promptly returned with a quote - 2" Hitch, Wiring Harness - TWO HOURS LABOR - with tax... close to $[XX]. I called etrailer - to confirm my that the Curt Hitch was what I needed and that there was a Harness. Everything arrived 2 days later (Faster than Hyundai) - Installation took approx. 45 min. (watched a couple awesome [etrailer] videos on YouTube). Hitch holes were pre-drilled, harness plug was beyond convenient - (wish I had the tool to remove the rubber exhaust hangers) - AND I SAVED ALMOST $[XX]!!!! I really like how the hitch is set back slightly from the end of the bumper. I will rarely tow anything significant - purchase primarily for my 1-UP USA 2 bike rack (made in WI).
Every purchase from etrailer has been perfect - Customer Service is always 110%!!

2024 Kia Sportage

Fits 2024 Kia Sportage! Amazon recommended the wrong part so I tried etrailer and the correct hitch was delivered. I spent about 45 minutes installing this, most of the time spent was figuring out a way to lift both sides with just me installing. 2 people recommended for installation but I made due. Kia added weld nuts to the frame and I didn't need to lower the exhaust which made this very simple.

by:

Easy to install without lifting car.
Torx
recommendation seems a bit high for the home mechanic without special tools that fit in the tight space for installation.
Installation video was great.

Great. Solid. Install instructions were easy to follow.

I've purchased two trailer hitches from etrailer, plus wiring harness, etc. What a great experience. The instructional videos are second to none. I wish all companies were as good as this one. Great price, awesome products, fast delivery, excellent customer service. What else can one ask for. Trust this company, they won't steer you wrong, and once they make a deal, there are no unexpected hitches! ;-)

2022 Hyundai Tucson

First: Just a shout out to the folks at etrailer. This was a short notice order for an upcoming trip. I placed the order with expedited shipping at about 0930 on Monday, it was picked, packed and on the UPS truck by about 1400 the Same Day! I received it at about 1800 on Weds, and installed it this Thursday AM. I've worked with them on previous orders and These folks are All About Customer Service! I won't buy trailer stuff Anywhere Else !
I did watch the installation videos both on etrailer and on the Curt websites. Excellent info - especially about removing the small rear panel next to the exhaust pipe. I am a 70 Year Old couch potato, and do not have ramps or a lift in my garage. I also did not have any help to install this hitch. I found by putting the Passenger side of the hitch on TOP of the exhaust pipe (that was a bit of a tight wiggle), I could then level the drivers side of the hitch into position and loose fit the bottom bolt. Then loose fit the bottom bolt on the Passenger side. The next tip is to fit the REAR side bolts first followed by the front side bolts. I had to use a cats paw pry bar to help get the drivers side bolt holes to line up. Once all the bolts were in, I torqued them to the specified 48 Ft-Lb, waited a couple of hours, rechecked the torque (no change) and reinstalled the small passenger side panel. DONE! It took me about 90 minutes, a rubber mallet, and a pry-bar, but the fit was excellent, no slop, and exactly what was needed. 10 Stars out of 5 :) :). Photos Attached.

2024 Hyundai Tucson

I have a leased Hyundai Tucson but wanted a trailer hitch for my bike carrier. So the bolt-on hitch by e-Trailer seemed perfect for me. I chickened out putting it on my myself and had a local auto shop install it. There was no drilling or cutting, exactly as advertised.

by:

Installed it in about 45 minutes. It fit my Kia Sportage perfectly! I had to unclip the muffler to get it installed and then re-clip it. That actually took me a little bit of time to get done. After I cut out an area around the hitch, I will most likely put the plastic piece that needs to be removed for installation back on the car.

2014 Toyota Prius

This is my 2nd purchase and installation of a Curtis hitch. The 1st was for a 2014 Prius V and now a 2024 Lia Sportage Hybrid. I saw one review that gave a 3 of 10 ease of installation, “1” being easiest. I give it a 2. It went on easily and I was able to do it solo. Extra hands would be helpful although. I did need to shift the muffler to squeeze hitch in place but it easily went back to original spot. I also jacked up the end of the receiver to get bolt holes to align for bolt placement . It was a sweet job. Good product and nice match. I didn’t expect anything less after having the same results with the Prius.

by:
2024 Hyundai Tucson

Disclaimer: I haven't installed it yet.
That said, you guys really need to use a thicker box or maybe some foam padding on the metal corners in the box because mine was shredded w/ the receiver poking out of the box when I saw it on my front door. I don't know if any of the bolts are missing...installation this wknd will tell...

2024 Kia Sportage

The hitch fit. The installation video was helpful, but it was a *very* tight fit. I needed to use a floor jack at several points in order to push the hitch fully into place, even after tightening the bottom bolts.
Also, Kia seems to have changed the "nuts" used to hold on the underside body pieces, so I ended up using needle nose pliers to get off the new attachment pieces. The "plugs" came off with a flathead screwdriver, just as the video showed.

by:

customer service helped me choose the proper hitch, installation took just a little more than 30 minutes with clear instructions included in the package.

Mike

Works just fine, the coating has held up well in the weather.

Hyundai Tucson

I am very happy with this receiver. It fits up under the Tucson fascia and looks great. I also installed the Curt wiring kit for this Tucson. It only took minutes to connect to the existing trailer wiring connector. The receiver was well packed and shipped quickly. I couldn't be happier with this product.

by:
2024 Hyundai Tucson

Like many other reviewers, my box arrived damaged and torn with 3 large holes in the box. Unfortunately that resulted in the powder coating being damaged in several places. I am hopeful the touch up paint will help resist future rust. A template for trimming the under panel would have been helpful, otherwise I opted to leave it off. Easy install and quick shipping.

by:
2024 Hyundai Tucson

Everything fit perfectly. The video they have are very informative and very accurate!. The video made installing this hitch look very DIY friendly and it was! I saved over half of what the dealer wanted to install a hitch on our new vehicle!

by:
2023 Hyundai Tucson

Perfect fit and installed the tow in abouy 30 mins. The wiring took a longer since I wanted to ensure the module stayed inside the cab. I did not want it to get wet as directed on the warning label. I had to remove some inner panels and all good to go.

by:

Through an apparent small address typing mistake of my own, the shipping co. elected to return the order to etrailor. Stacey there took the initiative upon my call yesterday afternoon to expedite and re-ship so that I received the hitch today! And in time for me to install on my wife's SUV as a B-Day present in 3 days. It's hard to line out better customer service than that.
Oh, and the hitch. It's very stout material, quality fabrication and looks to be excellent powdercoating. Reviews on an online forum I participate in give it high marks for no-hassle installation.

by:

Relatively easy to install. Maneuvering the hitch past the tailpipe was the only small issue I encountered. Once that was solved, I used a jack to hold the hitch in place so I had both hands free to align the holes and start the bolts. Total time spent was about 30 minutes.
