Parts Needed To Flat Tow a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Lifted With Aftermarket Bumper Having 3/4" Wide D-Ring

Question:

What all do we need to flat tow a lifted 2017 jeep wrangler with after market bumper with 3/4 D rings behind a motorhome?

First you will want to verify with your aftermarket bumper manufacturer to ensure it is rated for flat towing use. As long as your bumper is rated for towing you can attach the 3/4" D-Ring Adapters # RM-035 to the Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar # RM-676. These adapters will fit a 3/4" wide D-Ring with either a 7/8" or 1" diameter mounting pin.

With your 2017 Jeep Wrangler being lifted you will likely need one of the High-Low adapters to keep the tow bars within 3" of level from your motorhome to the front of your Jeep. You will need to measure the receiver height and height of your D-Ring pins to determine how much rise is needed to keep the bars as level as possible.
4" Rise/Drop # RM-048-4
6" Rise/Drop # RM-048-6
8" Rise/Drop # RM-048-8
10-1/4" Rise/Drop # RM-048-10

The Roadmaster Accessory Kit for Nighthawk Tow Bars # RM-9284-2 will provide you with the wiring needed to integrate your tail lights on your Wrangler. Also included is the lube, cover, locks and storage bag for the parts and pieces. You will also want to install a Charge Line # RM-156-25 to keep your battery maintained and prevent the supplemental brake system from draining the battery while being towed.

If your motorhome has air brakes you will want the Air Force One # DM26VR otherwise the Stay-IN-Play # DM86VR is used on motorhomes with hydraulic brakes. Both these systems are installed on your Jeep and do not require removal when not flat towing.
