Troubleshooting Interior Lights On Trailer Not Working When Connected To a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado
Question:
Interior lights are not coming on in horse trailer hooked up to a 2021 Chevy Silverado. Outside running lights come on but not the interior lights of the trailer.

It sounds like you may not have power going to the charge line circuit on your 2021 Chevrolet Silverado. You will need to first check your owners manual on your Silverado to find the 12 volt power trailer fuse. This is typically the issue causing power not to get to your interior lights. The exterior lighting on your trailer will run off your running lights for your Silverado. The interior lights are generally connected to a battery in or on the trailer which is then charged by the charge line. I have seen where the wiring is only connected via the 7-way but this will restrict the lights to only working when connected to a tow vehicle.
