Can Tow Ready Trailer Wiring Harness be Used on a 2013 Subaru Outback with a Backup Camera
Question:
Can you tell me if this part will work with the Subaru 2013 Outback that has the factory installed backup camera that is built into the navigation system. At this point I have not tried to see if there is a quick connect in the back as show in the instructions. I just wanted to confirm that this will work prior to placing an order.

The only exclusion for trailer wiring harness # 118467 is that it will not fit Sport models of the 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon. Installation of the harness should not affect the operation of the camera nor should the camera have any effect on the wiring harness.
All 2013 Subaru Outbacks will have the factory connection point. Sometimes, though, Subaru likes to move it around so it may not be in the exact spot the harness instructions indicate. If it is not then other places to look or forward or rearward of where the instructions say, the opposite side of the vehicle than what the instructions say, or even behind the passenger side kick panel at the front. Alternate locations may require the removal of additional trim panels to find the factory connection point.
I have included a link to a video showing a typical installation for you.
