How To Carry A Motorcycle On A 2022 Subaru Ascent
Question:
I recently ordered a 2022 Ascent and was wondering if anyone is carrying a motorcycle on a hitch carrier? Tongue weight limit is 500 pounds so, for example, a Honda CB300R which weighs 317 pounds, fully fueled and ready to ride, along with this carrier should be within the capability of the car. Comments?

Yes, you will be able to carry a motorcycle on your 2022 Subaru Ascent. First you will need to install The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e55ZR.
This trailer hitch has a bolt-on installation with no welding required. It has a matte black powder coat finish over a protective base coat that offers a superior rust resistance. The trailer hitch has a maximum tongue weight up to 750 pounds. I recommend checking your vehicle's manual to find out the proper tongue weight capacity of your vehicle.
After the hitch is installed The etrailer Motorcycle Carrier w/ Ramp for 2 inch Hitch # e98873 can be used.
The carrier can hold up to 500 pounds. The included ramp can be positioned on either side of the carrier for a simple loading and unloading. The carrier has a durable steel construction that has a black powder coat finish that will help resist corrosion.
If your 2022 Subaru Ascent does have a tongue weight of 500 pounds then with your motorcycle weighing 317 pounds and the carrier weighing 67 pounds you will be able to haul it behind your vehicle.
The Threaded Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin Lock for etrailer Cargo Carriers # e99047 will secure your rack to your trailer hitch. The anti-rattle pin will also reduce the play and vibration in the hitch connection.
I attached an installation video link below.
