This is the second hitch I’ve purchased from etrailers and I’m very happy with it. I had the first one installed by an auto body shop, but decided to try to install this one myself since Subaru makes it easy. My 16 yo son was able to install it himself just following the included instructions. I can’t think of a reason not to purchase a hitch from etrailer.
Easy to install. Will be used for a cargo carrier rack. Also pulling a small trailer.

The hitch received from etrailer.com was as advertised...a sturdy, well-built piece of hardware. The instructions and videos provided made installation relatively easy. Once complete, the hitch truly is hidden from sight. Will come back for all of my trailering needs!
The hitch was received on time and complete. It installed just like the video explained. This is my second order with etrailer and everything was good. I would not hesitate to order in the future.
Perfect fit, installation video was very informative and detailed. The main reason for the hitch is for my dog. I installed a swivel step, it fits perfectly. I was able to notch out a small hole to accommodate the step. Great hitch.

Install on a 2019 Subaru Ascent was a breeze. Took 30 minutes total. I followed the video instructions and it was easy. Shipping was fast, product packaged well. I’m very pleased with etrailer’s service and follow through. High recommend.

Super easy to install. The video is very helpful (video missed a couple push pins/screws that had to be removed getting the bumper cover off but other than that, perfect)
This is an excellent product that I would highly recommend for anyone needing a trailer hitch for a Subaru Ascent. It bolts on in place of the of the original bumper beam and fit perfectly. Following the U-Tube step-by-step instruction video made the installation very straight-forward. The kit even includes a panel which snaps into place to hide the hitch when not in use. I can't speak for other models of cars but for my Ascent it was perfect.

Working as if it was brand new! No rust, no rattling , no issues
The hitch was received on time, intact, and with all the hardware. A solo install is doable.
super easy to install. planned on 2 hours. did it in less than 1. didnt have a torque wrench. but local auto zone has them as loaners. put a deposit down with your credit card and bring it back when you're done. free of charge at the store i went to. just make sure you know whether you have 3/8 or 1/2 drive sockets. only delay came when I didn't have a deep bodied 17mm socket. This is needed (at least on my 2021 Ascent) when taking the 2 nuts off the factory bumper plate. the bolt sticks out past the nut, so a deep bodied socket is needed.
This is my third time ordering from etrailer. Parts always fit and easy to install. I had no problems installing this hitch. I followed their instructionational video. I had no issues hauling a trailer from Virginia to Seattle. I would recommend. I thought I had missing pieces, I didn't, but their costumer service was always fast and efficient at replying to my questions.
I was worried about this product maybe is not going to fit to my car, but I have to say It is a good product. It fits very good to my 2023 Subaru ascent limited edition.
Easy to install. The video on YouTube was great. As on add on, it would be nice if your system could remind the customer to buy the tow package.
This thing is heavy duty! Good quality and easy to install. My 15yr old son and I installed it in about 2hrs with only basic tools.

Still loving it. My Subaru was recently bumped in a parking lot causing some body damage on the back quarter panel. I asked the auto body shop to make sure everything was okay with my hitch when they were assessing and repairing the damage. They said the hitch was great and I had nothing to be concerned about. It was a good quality product that I could depend on. It’s nice having that peace of mind.
Quality product that was a breeze to install. Will enjoy being able to carry our bikes behind our vehicle.

There’s a reason I buy my trailer needs from etrailer. Everything works. The instructions are spot on. I wish every company could be like this. But, now to the hitch. Sturdy and well made. This will last the life of the vehicle I’m sure.
