Troubleshooting Power Issues With A LaSalle Bristol 12V RV Ceiling Fan w/ Wall Switch  

Question:

I bought 2 12-volt dc ceiling fans model HZ42-7001bn I installed one and when I turn it on it starts up fast then slows way down to a crawl i checked all the wires have 12 volts to switch tried hooking second motor right to the switch and it does the same thing

You could possibly be losing voltage after the switch so I recommend checking the power at the fan # 344410TSDC36BNOKCY itself to ensure it's actually receiving 12v power. The switch could also be the issue since this component is what controls the fan's speed. It could be receiving a full 12v but not actually sending out a full 12v to the fan. The switch can be replaced with part # 344410TSSW12V.

I also recommend checking your ground as this is typically the cause of most electrical issues.
