How To Wire In The LaSalle Bristol 12V RV Ceiling Fan w/ Wall Switch # 344410TSDC42BNBK

Question:

One of the customers asked about the wiring on this fan. The picture shown, is that the wiring out of the wall switch or the wiring out of the fan motor? I have a similar concern. My wall switch has 4 wires coming out of the back of it, red, black, blue and white, however, my fan motor has just the blue and white wires.

The four wires in the picture of the 12V RV Ceiling Fan w/ Wall Switch # 344410TSDC42BNBK you referenced are coming from the wall remote # 344410TSSW12V. You'll wire the wall remote in the following manner:

White: Fan Motor +
Blue: Fan Motor -

Black: Trailer Battery -
Red: Trailer Battery +

@GregW What is the model of the fan? If the fan itself doesn't have a reversal or speed option then the switch isn't going to add one. The switch just breaks constant power from running to the fan so that you can turn each available function on or off.

@KevinC Kevin, the model for the new fan is 410TSDC42BNWH My existing wiring is 2 wires in the ceiling a black and a yellow. , and two wires in the wall a yellow and blue, that controlled my old switch, which was a two speed. Do I have enough wires to wire the new 4 speed switch. If so please tell me how to wire the fan, and the switch. Also my old fan had a switch on the fan that controlled the flow direction. It's getting close to the 30 days I have to return the fan if if won't work. Thanks, Greg white

@GregW The 12V RV Ceiling Fan w/ Wall Switch # 344410TSDC42BNWH would be compatible with the Replacement Wall Switch # 344410TSSW12V and comes with 4 speed settings as well as a reversal function so there shouldn't be any issues there. I've attached a picture from the installation instructions above that will walk you through wiring in the fan and switch.
