Which Base Plate Needed for Flat Towing 2008 Chevy Trailblazer
Question:
I was given a 6000lbs. Road Master all terrain tow bar. It has the number 003882 on it. Can you help me with the matching part for the front of my 2008 Chevy Trailblazer? Thanks

I'd be happy to help you with that. For the easiest compatibility with your Roadmaster Tow Bar, I'd recommend the Roadmaster base plate kit, part # 3109-1. If you don't already have it, you'll also need the quick disconnect crossbar assembly, part # 910021-00 which up until fairly recently, was included with the tow bar.
In addition to the tow bar and base plates, you'll also need:
• Safety cables like # RM-643
• Taillight wiring like # RM-152-1676-7
• A supplemental braking system like # BLU37TR
If the height difference between the base plate and the hitch receiver is greater than 3 inches, you'll need a high/low adapter. I'll link to a help article that explains how to measure to determine if an adapter is needed.
