I am installing a Redarc Tow Pro controller on my 2020 VW Tiguan SE and cannot locate a way to connect to the brake wire on the vehicle. Are there any instructions or tips on locating the brake switch or wire to complete the installation of the controller?

I was not able to find any information on the exact wiring location but I do have some tips to help you. You can follow the brake pedal to find the brake switch and use the Test Light # PTW2993 to find the correct wire.

In the event the wiring is hidden or to small to make a good connection you can use the Roadmaster Universal Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751000 to give you your brake signal. This will attach to the brake pedal shaft and allow you to install your Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Trailer Brake Controller # RED52VR.

Yes, it does. The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Universal Wiring Harness item #RED52VR does have a manual feature that engages your trailer's brakes. You just push in the control knob and hold it down.
