Comparing Draw-Tite and etrailer Trailer Hitch Receivers For a 2014 Nissan Rogue
Question:
What are the differences between the E Trailer hitch and the Draw Tire trailer Hitch for a 2014 Nissan Rogue hitch? I read in another question and answer the Curt requires additional parts/straps so Im ruling that one out. The hitch will just be used for a bike rack. It needs to be a 2inch hitch receiver. It doesnt seem there is a difference in the install process. I appreciate your time. Hopefully you advice of which one to choose. Thanks in advance.

The 2 main differences in the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98846 and Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75902 which fit your 2014 Nissan Rogue is the finish and the tongue weight capacity. While both receivers are rated for the same 3,500lb towing capacity, tongue weight on the Draw-Tite is 350lbs and the etrailer is 525lbs. The Draw-Tire receiver has a gloss black powder coat finish while the etrailer uses a matte black powder coat finish. I find the matte black matches better with the rear fascia manufacturers use.
I recommend installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118480 when you install the receiver. The wiring is needed for most small trailers you may pull and will also allow for Auxiliary Lights # C53201. The auxiliary lighting is needed if your hitch mounted accessory impairs the view of your tail lights to other drivers.
