Question:

Have you ever dealt with changing a boat trailer from hydraulic surge type brakes to electric? I want to convert to electric brakes.

Yes, we can get your set up to go from hydraulic to electric brakes, and your photo (thanks so much for that) shows you have a 10 inch brake drum. So here is everything you'll need in order to switch:

- Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA

- Mounting Hardware for 10" Brake Assemblies # BRKH10B

- Deka Jacketed 2 Wire, 10 Gauge, Brake Wire - per Foot # 10-2-1

- Bright Way Push-to-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit # 3802308

- Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connector - 12-10 Gauge # DW05745-5

The brake wire is sold per foot, so you'll want to make sure you get the proper amount for the length you need, and if you also need a heat gun for the butt connectors you can use the Heat Gun # ALL836717.
