Which Trailer Hitch for 2022 Subaru Outback?
Question:
Which is the better choice for a 2022 Subaru Outback? The Curt C67JR or the Draw Tite DT94MR?

Expert Reply:
Both the Curt # C67JR and Draw-Tite # DT94MR have an identical 3500 lb towing capacity. The Draw-Tite has a higher tongue weight capacity at 525 lbs versus 350 lbs for the Curt, but the higher tongue weight capacity can't be used because Subaru lists the maximum tongue weight of a hitch installed on the vehicle to be 350 lbs, so that weight capacity advantage for the Draw-Tite is a moot point.
If I had to choose between the two, I'd choose the Curt product because the hitch US made and because it's easier to install than the Draw-Tite.
If you'll be using the hitch for towing purposes, you'll also need a trailer wiring harness like # 118467, a ball mount like # 2753 and a trailer ball like # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.
I've linked to install videos that you might find helpful.
