No, the Mercedes ML320/ML430 Class II Trailer Hitch, item # 75087, does not require drilling for installation.
Some Items you may need with the Class 2 hitch if you're planning on towing are the following.
• Ball Mount # 2923
• Hitch Ball # 19260 or # 63845
• Hitch Lock # e98882
• Taillight Wiring Harness # C59236
