Comparing Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System for 2016 Ram 3500 Towing 5th Wheel

Question:

crew cab, long-bed, 4X4, Aisin A6 AS69RC trans, 4.10 rear, 300mm rear axle After reading on all the responses from the QandA on this SES system, I am getting more confused.. DR3500CA or the t94vr We are pulling a 43ft toy hauler at 21K lbs loaded weight. Truck has a GCVW of 39K. truck is about 10K on the CAT scale loaded - I have a 60Gal aux diesel tank realistic 55Gal capacity with a mini tool box on top. A RAM 30K 5th wheel hitch, wife and myself + 80-90lb dog, and misc stuff in the bed. Currently, without hitching the 5th wheel, the distance between the bum stop perch to the axle is 7. Looks to me I will have close to about 0.5-0.75inch of space if the Timbren SES is 6.25inch from top to bottom. We tow maybe 4 to 5 times a year, and the rest of the year is running the truck with the full tank of diesel in the aux tank + the 5th wheel hitch. So if one of the 2 setups help with better ride quality without the 5th wheel, that would be awesome. Which setup to ease my confusion?

I understand the confusion based on the difference in capacity. The key is the difference in design. The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # T94VR is designated as a Severe Service kit so the springs are always engaged. Although the capacity is slightly lower at 8,000 lbs, the design is intended for a constant heavy load like a salt spreader or in-bed camper.

Based on the frequency of your towing you want the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TDR3500CA. These have the higher 8,600 lb capacity but because of the design and greater flexibility they will have less of an impact on your unloaded ride quality.

Since you're concerned with the unloaded ride quality, and you are only towing 4-5 times a year, I highly recommend checking out the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs - 2 Piece - Rear Axle # SSR-301-47-2. These will have the least impact on your ride quality and have a 5,000 lb weight capacity. I don't want to add extra confusion, but these will be the best choice for maintenance-free suspension enhancement that won't impact your ride.

I have attached some review and installation videos for your reference.
