Troubleshooting Check Breaking System Warning for Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO
Question:
Did anybody get a Check Breaking System warning message on their dash display after the installation of a supplemental breaking system to flat tow the Ford Ranger? Mine is a 2022 with Demco DM86VR and the message appears every time I get on the hyway over 45 mi/h 60 Km/h but not if I stay under on city street.

Expert Reply:
The Check Breaking System warning message you're getting has more to do with the installation of the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR itself and not your specific 2022 Ford Ranger.
The warning you're getting likely means you have a vacuum leak somewhere so you need to check your connections for the vacuum hoses. Look at the hose between the operating unit and your tee connection and also make sure the black end of the check valve is facing the operating unit.
If you're still having trouble after looking into this please let me know and I'll be more than happy to help out some more!
