Will the # TC2533 and # TC2327 Fit My 275/55-20 Tires on My 2008 Toyota Tundra?
Question:
I have a 2008 Toyota Tundra Crew Cab with 275/55-20 tire size. I have recently switched to a A/T tire, and while not real aggressive tread, I want to make sure that both of the tire chains eTrailer lists for my truck will still work. The actual tire dimensions are 10.90 wide and 31.98 tall. Do both TC2533 and TC2327 still work for that tire size? Which would be a better fit?

I went ahead and reached out to my tech at Titan Chain. He said that without knowing the tread style on your 275/55-20 tires on your 2008 Toyota Tundra, we cannot know for sure whether the # TC2533 and # TC2327 chains will sit on the surface of the tread or wedge in between the tread of the tires. With that being said, one way you can tell is by measuring the tread itself. Since the # TC2327 has a link thickness of 3.7mm and the # TC2533 has a link thickness of 5.5mm, this will give you a great idea of whether they will wedge between the treads. My tech also confirmed that as far as the tire size, both sets of chains will fit your 275/55-20 tire size.
It is important to note that these chains require a minimum of 1.46" (37 mm) between the top of the tire tread and the wheel well and at least 0.59" (15 mm) between the tire's sidewall and the vehicle itself. I went ahead and attached a diagram that shows how to conduct this measurement to make sure you have enough clearance.
As with all tire chains, I recommend consulting with your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure you are abiding by all guidelines outlined.
