Trailer Hitch and Towing Equipment Recommended for 2022 Toyota Highlander XSE
Question:
Which trailer hitch is recommended for a 2021 Toyota Highlander? I'll mostly use it for my bike rack, but maybe at some point in the future I'll pull a small utility trailer. What other parts will I need?

I'd be happy to help with that. I'd recommend the Curt Class III hitch, part # e75ZR which is a fit for all models of the 2022 Toyota Highlander, including the XSE models.
To equip the vehicle for towing, you'll need a trailer wiring harness like # TK99FR, a ball mount like # C45010 with a pin and clip # PC3 and a trailer ball like # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.
You can see video footage of the install of the hitch and wiring harness by using the provided links.
