Is The Curt Or Draw-Tite Better For Carrying A Mobility Scooter On A 2022 Toyota Sienna
Question:
I just got a 2022 Toyota Sienna and will need to get a hitch for it so I can load my mobility scooter and rack. Since this is pretty low to the ground I need the hitch with the best ground clearance. Is that the Curt or the Draw-Tite? Thanks for your help.

The Curt # C22UR and Draw-Tite # DT55MR that are for your 2022 Toyota Sienna will actually sit at the exact same point once installed. The Curt # C22UR will be slightly, and I do mean slightly, less exposed than the Draw-Tite, but it will also be limited to 350 pounds of tongue weight.
As the 2022 model year of Sienna is rated up to 385 pounds of tongue weight, the better option for you will be the Draw-Tite # DT55MR. Though technically rated up to 675 pounds of tongue weight, it will be limited to the 385 pound capacity of your vehicle, but it also means you are using the vehicle's capacities to their full potential. This is definitely the way to go.
