Comparing Dexter and etrailer Branded Electric Trailer Brake Assemblies
Question:
The web site indicates Dexter is premium and etrailer is standard/economy. Can you explain the differences and the differences in the stopping ability? I am looking to replace the brakes on my 2006 Montana 5th wheel.

The Dexter Braking Assemblies like the # 23-464-465 are widely regarded as the highest quality assemblies due to them being manufactured right here in the USA and using the highest quality materials available.
With that said we have sold a lot of the etrailer branded assemblies like the # AKEBRK-7-SA you were looking at and have heard awesome things. They are a hit amongst our customers due to their reliability and performance while being quite a bit more cost effective.
If you are wanting the absolute best of the best materials for your 2006 Keystone Montana 5th wheel then the # 23-464-465 is the way to go.
If you would rather have a more economical option that still performs great then stick with the # AKEBRK-7-SA, as you will likely not be able to feel any difference in performance.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
