Will Timbren Springs Require Adjustment to Weight Distribution Hitch on 2017 Ram 1500
Question:
2017 ram 2021 Rockwood ultra lite. 2613BS. Dry weight 6878 pounds. I just bought this trailer. They got me all set up with a weight distribution hitch system. My truck still slightly sags. But the trailer is level. If I add these will I have to readjust the trailering equipment?

The # TDR1500DS Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System will help reduce or get rid of the sag you are experiencing with your 2017 Ram 1500. These will also help improve overall handling and give you a more comfortable ride by absorbing road shock and improving roll stability.
As for your current setup, it may be necessary to make some minor adjustments depending on the impact the Timbren springs have on your vehicle. Start by measuring your tow vehicle without the trailer loaded. Pick two stationary points such as the front and rear tires from the ground to the lower portion of the fender well. Once your trailer is hooked up, the back wheel should be within about 1-1/2" of the unloaded measurement. The front wheel should basically stay the same height.
If the front of your vehicle is pointing upward once your weight distribution hitch is attached, you need more tension in your system. If the nose points down once your weight distribution hitch is attached, the weight distribution hitch is working too hard, and you need to loosen the tension a bit.
To check your trailer, place a level on the side of the trailer. If it is too high or low, reposition the ball mount higher or lower on the shank.
I have attached a helpful article which describes in detail how to install and adjust a weight distribution hitch as well as an installation video of the Timbren system on a 2016 Ram 1500 for your reference.
