Parts Needed to Add Brake Controller to 2015 Infiniti QX70
Question:
2015 Infiniti QX70S, 5L motor. I have the HM11140805 and the HM47180. Now I need to add a brake controller so I can use the brakes on a 2 axle aluminum car trailer about 2,200 lbs. What do I use that is simple and easy to install. Thanks. Kim Wardle CaboSnow

It sounds like you're pretty well set up!
I'd recommend the Curt Echo wireless brake controller, part # C51180. The Echo communicates wirelessly with your smart phone, allowing you to control and monitor the performance of your trailer brakes from the vehicle cab whiteout needing extensive wiring and drilling any holes in your dashboard.
All you'll need to do is install the # HM11140805 and plug the # HM47180 into it. Ground the white tire to the vehicle. The red wire would be extended using a length of # 10-1-1 wire and ran under the vehicle to the positive battery terminal with a # 9510 40A circuit breaker installed inline. To do this, you'll also need a few connectors. I'd recommend a heat shrink butt connector, part # DW05745-5, two small # 44-5310A ring terminals for the connections at the circuit breaker and one # 44-5356A ring terminal to connect at the battery.
I've linked to a video that explains how the Curt Echo wireless brake controller works.
