Differences in Draw-Tite #75270 and #76025 Hitches for 2011 Honda Odyssey

Question:

Hi, I was wondering what is the difference between this hitch and the Draw-tite 76025. Do they have the same ground clearance or does the 76025 have a higher ground clearance?

There are several differences between the Draw-Tite # 76025 and # 75270 Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - 2" for your 2011 Honda Odyssey. The # 75270 has a higher maximum gross trailer weight at 4,500 lbs and tongue weight at 675 lbs. This hitch can also be used with weight distribution to increase the trailer weight by 500 lbs, unlike the # 76025 hitch.

The # 76025 has a concealed cross tube, where the # 75270 has a visible cross tube. This allows for better overall clearance on the # 76025 and gives it a nicer look. The receiver tube opening sits higher on the # 76025 which also provides better ground clearance. Trimming of the fascia is required on the # 76025 because of the concealed cross tube.

I recommend the # 76025 for your Honda Odyssey. The clean look from the concealed cross tube and the greater clearance are both great features. It is still a Class III hitch and the max gross trailer weight of 3,500 lbs and tongue weight of 525 lbs will serve you well.

I have attached installation videos as well as pictures of both hitches installed on an Odyssey that you may reference.
